RESOURCES FOR LECTURERS

These resources have been developed in consultation with part-time lecturers, on topics that they asked for. Just download the sections that are relevant to you, and maybe come back to others later on. We've tried to make them as flexible and practical as possible, and many include case-studies which have been written by part-time lecturers.

  • RESOURCES FOR FACILITATORS

These are resources for you to use and refer to when working with visiting lecturers, and have been designed in consultation with lecturers themselves, and with managers and programme leaders.

The idea and role of the facilitator is key to providing locally tailored academic staff support. The facilitator role could be what you and your colleagues want to make of it, but is likely to include aspects of mentoring, staff development, the evaluation of part-time lecturer's needs and support for academic practice.

Working through the Facilitator Pack will take you from the first elements of identifying needs and planning support activities through to running and evaluating workshops on a range of topics.
